The Age of Miracles by Catherine MacCoun

by

For a change of pace, a book set in medieval England about a troubadour and a nun. Ingrid is the infirmarian at the convent, famous for her power of healing. The troubadour breaks a leg and is taken in. He ever so cleverly seduces her with his music (so far). The characters are really interesting and reading decent English with so slang or modern day references is a treat.
