The boy in the suitcase by Lene Kaaberbol and Agnette Friis

by

This is a tale of eastern European child trafficking.  The boy in the suitcase is saved by a nurse, having been asked by her friend to get him out of the locker where he has been drugged and left in a suitcase!  This story was hard to keep track of partly because of all the strange names and locations.  It boils down to the boy being needed for a kidney transplant and the novel parallels the mother’s story and the kidnapper’s.  Plenty of twists and an unexpected ending.

Thanks for reviewing this. As terrible as the the outcome was for the boy in the suitcase I had imagined much worse.
