“In a Dark, Dark Wood”

Cited as the next Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train and already proving popular is Ruth Ware’s debut novel, released last Tuesday. The story follows mystery novelist Leonora, who is known to some as Nora and to others as Lee. At the urging of a mutual friend, Nora (Lee?) attends the bachelorette weekend of someone she hasn’t seen or spoken to in years, only to find herself waking up in a hospital bed. Battered and bruised, she struggles to piece together the events of the weekend and the role she may have played in them. Sounds like a great option for those waiting to read Jessica Knoll’s similarly suspenseful Luckiest Girl Alive.
