September 2015 LibraryReads List

Looking at the list of the 10 top picks by librarians for September, I see that the 2nd title will be much appreciated by fans of Lee Child. A new Jack Reacher mystery novel is due out on 9/8 entitled Make Me, which opens with Jack in an isolated town, getting to know the layout and vibes while residents learn about him and his ways… If you haven’t read any Reacher novels yet, this can be a great place to start.

Another interesting pick is # 7:Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson, which will be released on 9/22. It is described as “a romp between absurdity and despondency”, where the author fully embraces life, instead of just trying to survive it. Lawson’s writings about herself run the full gamut of emotions, varying from the hysterically funny events of her life to her sobering struggles with depression. This promises to be like a nakedly honest account of the ups and downs where many of us find ourselves as well.
