Are you a huge fan of Superman? Plan on visiting the Cleveland Public Library, which has just received over 17,000 items to be catalogued and placed in their collection. Mike Curtis, a comic strip writer from Arkansas and a huge Superman fan, recently donated 75 years worth of memorabilia, some items dating back to the 1939. Co-creators of the superhero, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster were Cleveland high school friends who designed and launched the concept in the 30’s, and spending a good deal of time at the library. An early exhibit is being planned for this November, with a full opening in 2017. The article can be found here.
