Book to Movie: ‘The Girl on the Train’

No, I have not yet seen the movie based on the popular Paula Hawkin’s novel. Although part of the appeal of the novel for me was that it took place in England, the movie’s location was changed to the United States and filmed locally. The movie transplants the train line to from the UK to Westchester and many local spots are (said to be) recognizable, such as: the Irvington Public Library which is in disguise as a police station in the movie, Main Street, Dobbs Ferry appear as does the Ardsley train station and other scenes in White Plains.  Looking forward to seeing local scenery.
