After the publication of “Finding Winnie: the True Story of the World’s Most Famous Bear,” there was a renewed interest in A.A.Milne’s Winnie the Pooh stories. A new collection of four tales featuring Pooh and a new friend will soon be released. “The Best Bear In All the World” was published in England and Australia to coincide with the bear’s 90th birthday. It will be available in the U.S. on October 25th. The first full volume of Pooh stories was published in October, 1926.
This new volume will feature a new friend for Pooh. Penguin is a friendly winter bird and is a character in one of the stories in this new book. Each of the stories, written by different authors, focuses on a different season of the year.
Young readers who have enjoyed the Pooh stories will definitely be looking forward to being reacquainted with Pooh and to be introduced to the new character, Penguin.
