December 7-12 has been designated Computer Science Education Week. With the recent emphasis on STEM and STEAM programs, many schools and libraries are offering computer science programs. Here at the Palisades Library we will host two programs on Tuesday, December 6, to meet the interests and needs of elementary students. At 5:30 P.M., on December 6, we will again offer an “Hour of Code.” Students in grades three and up will spend an hour learning to code in a collaborative social environment.
At 7:00 P.M. the third meeting of the Alpha Computer Club will meet.
In addition to these programs, we have added several new books to our collection, both fiction and non fiction titles, deal with inventors, inventions, and computer programming.
Come in and check out these programs and books.
