Celebrating 75 Years of Golden Books

- This year marks 75 years since the beginning publication of Golden Books. Started in 1942, Golden books were affordable, high quality illustrated children’s books. Exhibiting such illustrators as Tibor Gergley, Garth Williams, Eloise Wilkin, Richard Scarry and Hilary Knight, Golden books introduced us to the Poky Little Puppy, the Saggy Baggy Elephant, Scuffy the Tugboat, Grover in The Monster at the End of this Book and many, many others.
