Rae Carson’s Gold Seer trilogy has finally come to an end. In Into the Bright Unknown we are reunited with Leah Westfall and the gang as they head to San Francisco to face their demons in order to preserve the oasis that they have created in their new gold-mining town of Glory. As with the other two books, they encounter greed, danger, injustice, and a little bit of magic.
This book isn’t as good as the first two – but it is still good! Will Leah and Jefferson finally get together? Will they be able to live in peace away from Leah’s past and greedy men looking for gold? If nothing this series offers a strong female protagonist who is constantly faced with moral dilemmas that anyone can relate to.
A solid read.
