The American Library Association announced at their mid-winter conference the winners of their Children’s and Young Adult Literature excellence awards.
The Michael L. Printz award which is given every year to the winner in the Young Adult Literature category went to We Are Okay by Nina Lacour. I reviewed the book last year (click here to read) and although I loved it so much, I had forgotten about it because I read it so long ago!
In any case, the book is most definitely deserved to win this prestigious prize. Congratulations Nina!
