I am not finished with this book yet – but I love it so far! The Library Book by Susan Orlean is for book and Library lovers, or anyone who knows and loves the quirky personalities of Library visitors.
The book chronicles the Los Angeles Public Library fire of 1986. But also is a mesmerizing and uniquely compelling book that manages to tell the broader story of libraries and librarians in a way that has never been done before.
If you think that a book like this might be boring and filled with facts – you are wrong! Orlean’s writing and obviously thoroughly researched story is a joy to read so far, check it out!
