The first moon landing, Woodstock, Stonewall uprising, Chappaquiddick, the Manson murders and two very special children’s books: “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and ‘Sylvester and the Magic Pebble.” You can celebrate these two fifty year-old books now by visiting the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst, Massachusetts. Exhibitions are currently ongoing that highlight both Eric Carle and Willliam Steig’s classics that should be shared with the important child in your life.
