Cozy mysteries

Harper Lin is an American author who writes the Cape Bay Cafe series set in a beach town off the New England coast. Most of these titles are available on audio through the Hoopla platform. The Margaritas, Marzipan and Murder title involves an out-of-town visitor who is found dead. At first the police suspect suicide. Our main character, Francesca Amaro, does not. She knows it must be murder and sets out to investigate despite the local police telling her to back off. As she digs deeper to learn more about the victim, she also helps her employee get over the break-up of a ten-year relationship. The two plot lines tie together nicely and readers discover more about the lives of the villagers, particularly Sam and Dawn. This was an entertaining, light mystery that would be a good summer listen.
