Summer reading for NY kids

The Summer Reading NYS web site is packed with valuable resources for kids, teens and parents.

The web site includes a ‘We Need Diverse Books’ link (“Imagine a world in which all children can see themselves in the pages of a book”), Read Aloud 15 Minutes Campaign, word games and puzzles, craft activities, a Teen Video Challenge contest, 4-H resources, book lists and so much more. There is also a lot of research available on the site to learn about the importance of summer reading (and lack thereof) on children during the summer break.
