Maggie D’Arcy’s cousin Erin has been missing for 23 years when the Irish police (Gardai) call Maggie’s family to inform them that a scarf belonging to Erin had been found. Maggie returns to Ireland, having gone over when Erin first disappeared, so it is feeling like deja vu for her. She does some investigating on her own, since she is a homicide detective back in New York. Several other young women have gone missing, and Maggie is racing the clock to find the last victim before it is too late. Taylor pens an enthralling tale; I found it to be very absorbing read.
