Janet Evanovich’s latest Stephanie Plum title is a perfect light, quick and humorous read. The usual suspects return: Lulu, Morelli, Ranger, Stephanie’s parents & Grandma, etc., but it begins with Connie being kidnapped. The office manager of Vinnie’s Bail Bonds is being held until the kidnappers demands are met: a specific coin must be returned to them or else it’s “lights out” for Connie. Morelli’s Italian grandmother has a larger part than usual, and watch out for her “evil eye !” If you haven’t read any titles in this series, you are definitely missing out.
