Crime writer Anne Perry died yesterday at age 84. With over 120 books in her repertoire, Perry wrote many historical mysteries set in Victorian England that sold in the millions. Publishing novels for the past 40 years, Perry is also remembered for her own crime and time spent in prison when she was a teenager. Remembered in the film “Heavenly Creatures,” Perry was found guilty of murdering her friend’s mother in New Zealand. Despite or because of her past, her books are regularly bestsellers.
